We have a thriving indoor archery club that meets on Saturday and Sunday afternoon and on Monday and Wednesday evenings around the Tower Bridge area. It costs £12 to shoot which includes equipment hire if needed. You need to do a beginners course if you haven’t shot with a club before.
We now accept payments by monthly direct debit (click here for payment page).
The video below was taken of our Monday evening club during the London Olympics August 2012.
We welcome longbow and recurve archers shooting bows less than 34lb in weight. We generally do not allow compound archers as they are rarely set below our weight threshold. Members shoot all 18m / 20 yard indoor rounds (we try and supply all types of target faces, Vegas, Portsmouth – we even have a few darts faces knocking around!) and we have regular social events.
We hold regular handicap shoots – prize is usually 3 free shooting sessions! We’re quite keen on handicap shoots as it means that we have a level playing field where novice archers can compete equally against the club record-holders – you just have to shoot well compared to usual form on the day.
We meet every Saturday and have two shooting sessions – 12 til 2pm and 2pm to 4pm. On a Sunday we shoot at 2pm for 2/3 hrs. On a Monday and Wednesday we shoot from 6.30/7pm to 9pm. We need all the help we can get setting up and packing down so we do ask that members arrive for the set up and stay for the pack down. There will always be an instructor around but they are there to teach beginners - set up and pack down is the responsibility of club members.
Club membership costs £55 for a year (you can also affiliate to GNAS through 2020) and there is a £12 shooting fee to be paid each session.
We currently have two locations that the club meets at.
