Recurve 5-Week Intermediate Course

(Email enquiries@2020archery.co.uk to book)

Following the success of our previous 5-week Intermediate Courses, we have scheduled another course to take place over a series of Saturday afternoons starting 22nd February 2025. This course is now available to non-members.

Non-members must provide evidence of Beginners Course certificate or have valid Archery GB membership to participate.

Email enquiries@2020archery.co.uk for booking information!

The start time is 2.00pm in the Sports Hall of the Downside Settlement and, as per a usual club session, you'll be expected to help with the pack down.

We did have a few questions following our previous courses that I will share with you here:

Q: I am relatively new to archery - can I still attend the course?

A: Anyone who has successfully completed a Beginners Course can attend. We will be opening up spaces to non-2020 Archery members this time so evidence of course completion or proof of Archery GB membership will be sought in these instances.

Q: I mainly shoot Barebow - are sights mandatory on this course?

A: The course mainly focuses on techniques and equipment knowledge for Recurve. Whilst you may still learn one or two things, this course will not 100% match your needs if you shoot Barebow. We may look to hold an Intermediate Course for Barebow at some point in the future.

Q: How many people will be on the course?

A: There will be a maximum of 12 people on each course.

Q: Can I use my own equipment for the course?

A: Yes you can and if you don't have your own, you can borrow the Club's bow. It's not compulsory to own your own equipment.
