About 2020 Archery
Information on our brilliant instructors is available here or by clicking the tab on the left side of this page "The Team".
2020 Archery started life at the beginning of 2008, since when we've been going from strength to strength. We had our own premises in Islington until Sept 2010 when we made the move down to South London. We now use a couple of great indoor venues down at London Bridge.
This means that we've now been providing great archery events for more than 14 yrs! Our credentials as a serious sport provider are backed up by our thriving club (unlike other London clubs we've developed a target and bow booking system as we're so popular). We have consistently great feedback on our events and courses and we have regular bookings from some very impressive clients including Sony, Citibank and KPMG. We are also regularly used by Westminster Council youth programme and the Bridge Academy in Hammersmith. In addition to all this we host the archery clubs for Greenwich University and Kings College London. Phew.
We're constantly trying to increase access to and participation in archery in London. We have a particular interest in trying to encourage people that may have limited opportunities to try sport to get involved in archery.
We've been the lucky recipients of a number of grants over the years including a 'Play Sport' grant which we used to fund sessions for Enfield Mencap (as well as others). We were grateful to receive a grant of £2000 from Southwark Sportability to develop our disability and Visually Impaired archery programme and in 2017 we successfully received funding from the Sportivate programme for the second time.
We absolutely love everything about archery and we think we have the best location in the country for accessibility for the most people who would like to get into the sport. We would love to introduce you to archery whether it's through a Have a Go session, a work event or finding your feet with a club for the first time.
