NB Pricing is PER TEAM - just £15 per person (but we do need you to gather money and pay as a team).
We will be running our inaugural Tag Tournament on Saturday 25th February down at Play On Whitechapel (a great venue with bar, snacks etc in East / Central London).
Entrance to the Tag Tournament is just £75 per team of up to 5 players (making it just £15 pp)!
Winners of the tournament will receive a 'fabulous prize', along with being crowned 2020 Tag Champions. Team dress and fancy dress welcomed and, in fact, highly recommended.
A social get together is encouraged following the Tournament to talk all things Archery and Tag!
- So, have you got 4 mates? (or just 2 if you think you can BRING IT in a team of 3 - or pick up a couple of extras from another team on the day)
- Want to have some fun and shoot arrows at people?
- Want to be crowned Archery Tag Champions?
The 'Small Print'
We will play for 1.5hrs. The tournament will proceed in a Round Robin style (speedy entry and exit to the courts allows for more games) plus there will be a short introduction on how to shoot at the start of the session. All equipment is provided.
If you want to organise a one-off game of Archery Tag for a stag party, work event or Birthday you can book an exclusive event at our Whitechapel venue through our main Archery Tag page (minimum 10 people for our exclusive group events).
The official ‘How to Play’!
You have two teams consisting of five players who play on opposite sides of the 'arena' separated by a “safe zone”. Each team also has a “5-Spot Knockout Target.”
There are two objectives:
1) to 'tag' i.e. shoot their opponents, and
2) to knock out the five discs of the opposing team’s target.
You eliminate a player by 'tagging' him or her with an arrow, or by catching his or her arrow. The 5-Spot Targets work to save a “life” of one of the players. A 'tagged' player can be called back into the game when a target spot is knocked out or when a team mate catches an arrow.
Playing: Games consist of 5 players per side during game play. A safe zone of 6 meters (20 feet) separates each team. Each player starts with 2 arrows. Games vary from 5 to 10 minutes.
Winning: Tag out all opposing players, or have the most players remaining in the game when time expires.
25th September at 11am - £75 / team
Is Archery Tag played competitively?
It’s getting there – we have plans for a weekend league, in the meantime we can certainly help you to get really good by joining our Sunday Archery Tag sessions at our Whitechapel venue. These are open sessions and geared towards first timers - you won't feel out of your depth. It's just a fun 'Have a Go and Try It' session!
Will being struck by an arrow hurt?
No! We use special patented safe non-lethal arrows. It hurts a lot less than paint ball and won't leave bruises or marks. Honestly - a lot less than paintball!
How fit do you need to be?
You need a reasonable level of movement but there's no shame in being tactical and staying in 'bunker position' a bit more than some of the younger, fitter participants!
Can anyone play?
As before you need to be in reasonable physical shape. If you aren't sure about some members of your group our standard Target Archery Have a Go in London Bridge is a lot more sedate and doesn't involve any running about at all!
