Can ArcheryGB do more in promoting their competitions?
A handful of us from 2020 were planning on attending a comp in Surrey, unfortunately, not enough people signed up and the organizers could not break even - resulting to the event being cancelled.
It got me thinking, if it wasnt for word of mouth, I would not have known about this. We had afew that were competitive, some were curious and others just thought it would be fun to participate. Do ArcheryGB ever send any material in regards to their events? It seems like a no brainer, more people are aware, they pay membership > pay for attendance.
After a quick browse of other competitions, I'm fully aware certain ones outside of London has a good turn out, however it was a little concerning a London-esque competition only managed to garner 67 signups. No idea if this sort of marketing is within ArcheryGB's budget, but from experience, I dont believe I have ever come across such material in 2020.
