Weekend Course – Get started in Archery in a single weekend – £95

This is one of our most popular courses where we promise to get you shooting in a single weekend! The course will take place at The Downside Centre on Druid Street which is about a 10min walk from London Bridge station or Tower Gateway DLR. T47 pitch small

  • 5 hrs shooting time
  • course runs 2.15 to 5.15 Sat & 2 to 5.30pm Sun
  • 1 hr equipment discussion / time for questions at the end
  • to help you get started at the club we’ll provide a senior coach to support everyone and show them around on the first week following the course
  • 1/2 price shooting sessions (£5 instead of £10 incl equipment hire) on the following Saturday with the club at Downside
  • you can apply for Archery GB affiliation following the course as long as you join the club as a member and shoot with us a few times so that we can get to know you!

The price includes equipment hire, insurance and 5/6 hours of tuition. We cover shooting technique, safety, the basics of what you need to know about equipment and shooting competitively. During the course you should have the opportunity to shoot at 20 yards (the full indoor distance) and to get the basics of scoring.

At the end of the course we hope that you will join the club (we meet on Saturday afternoons at the Downside Centre and on a Monday, Wed and Thurs around the London Bridge / Bermondsey area) and can then start to shoot independently.
