We will play for one hour. Session time includes at least 3 games of archery tag (5 to 10mins each) plus a short introduction to how to shoot at the start of the session. All equipment is provided.
If you want to organise a one-off game of Archery Tag for a stag party, work event or Birthday you can book an exclusive event at our Whitechapel venue through our main Archery Tag page (minimum 8 people for group events).
The official ‘How to Play’!
You have two teams consisting of five players who play on opposite sides of the 'arena' separated by a “safe zone”. Each team also has a “5-Spot Knockout Target.”
There are two objectives:
1) to 'tag' i.e. shoot their opponents, and
2) to knock out the five discs of the opposing team’s target.
You eliminate a player by 'tagging' him or her with an arrow, or by catching his or her arrow. The 5-Spot Targets work to save a “life” of one of the players. A 'tagged' player can be called back into the game when a target spot is knocked out or when a team mate catches an arrow.
Playing: Games consist of 5 players per side during game play. A safe zone of 6 meters (20 feet) separates each team. Each player starts with 2 arrows. Games vary from 5 to 10 minutes.
Winning: Tag out all opposing players, or have the most players remaining in the game when time expires.
*Saturday October 10th at 10.30am
*Saturday November 7th at 10.30am
Is Archery Tag played competitively?
It’s getting there – we have plans for a weekend league, in the meantime we can certainly help you to get really good by joining our Saturday Archery Tag sessions at our Whitechapel venue. Either put a team together yourself or - if you’ve tried it and you love it and you’d like to join in but you don’t have a full 5 people - just let us know and we can hook you up with some like-minded people who also want to play.
Will being struck by an arrow hurt?
No! We use special patented safe non-lethal arrows. It hurts a lot less than paint ball and won't leave bruises or marks.
How fit do you need to be?
You need a reasonable level of movement but there's no shame in being tactical and staying in 'bunker position' a bit more than some of the younger, fitter participants!
Can anyone play?
As before you need to be in reasonable physical shape. If you aren't sure about some members of your group our standard Target Archery Have a Go in London Bridge is a lot more sedate and doesn't involve any running about at all!
